CTET July 2020 Exam Postponed

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a latest notification vide number CTET/ July/2020 dated 25.06.2020, thereby postponing the the Central Teachers Eligibility Test – CTET July 2020 examination. As per this notification the new date of the examination of CTET 2020 has not been provided by the CBSE yet.

The Notification reads as –

“as notified earlier the 14th edition of Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) – July 2020 scheduled to be held on 5.7.2020 is postponed.”

The notification further reads as “the next date of examination will be intimated when situation is more conducive for conduct of examinations. All the candidates registered for CTET July 2020 are hereby informed that for any update they may visit CTET website www.ctet.nic.in regularly.” This notification has been issued by Shri Anurag Tripathi, Director (CTET) & Secretary, CBSE.

Students can also download the official notification by visiting the official website of the the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) i.e http://www.cbse.nic.in/ thereafter, students will have to click on “Click for CBSE website” option and official link website of CBSE will open i.e. http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/index.html , on this portal students have to check recent announcements section which is toward the left of this webpage. About CTET 2020

Every year, CBSE conducts the Central Teachers Eligibility Test which as the name suggest is just a eligibilty test. If you want to become teacher in Indian government schools, you must qualify the CTET Test.

Although students used to get message/mail regarding the updates of CTET exams but there is no such updates of CTET July 2020 exams. This is due to prevailing COVID19 situation.

Earlier as per the updates of the CBSE the CTET 2020 exam was scheduled to be conducted on 05 July 2020. However, for now the exam has been postponed and new date of the exam will be informed by the Board..

Regarding the examination pattern of the CTET Examination please note that – there will be two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. There is no change in exam pattern or syllabus in this year’s CTET.

Looking at the aforesaid notification is seems that CBSE has taken note of the present Covid 19 situation and concerning which it has taken decision that it is best not to conduct CTET Examination. In a similar move the CBSE has also cancelled board examinations of Class 10 and 12 students for the year 2020. The decision was also taken after taking note of the difficulty in conducting the examination. The fact also gets reflected in the notification as the commission has mentioned that “the next date of examination will be intimated when situation is more conducive for conduct of examinations“.
