Now, as per the latest data available on the website worldometers.info on worldwide COVID-19 Cases, the number of reported cases of the Corona virus across the globe has cross 10 Million (1 crore). Of the total reported cased about more than 54% of the infected people have recovered from the disease and more than 4.9 lakh (0.49 million) people have lost their life due to COVID-19 disease globally.
As per the data available on the website worldometers.info, United States of America (USA) is the worst affected country from the COVID-19. USA presently has over 25 lakh (2.5 million) reported cases, more than 1.2 lakh (0.12 million) deaths due to COVID-19 and over one million recoveries from the virus.
At the second spot there is the South American nation – Brazil, which has reported more than 1.28 million (12.8 lakh) COVID-19 cases, more than 56 thousand deaths and close to 7 lakh (0.7 million) recoveries.
At the third spot is the world’s largest country in terms of geographical area – Russia, which has reported 6.27 lakh (0.62 million) COVID-19 cases, about 8 thousand 900 deaths and 3.93 lakh (0.39 million) recoveries.
At the fourth position is the world’s largest democracy – India, which has reported over 5.2 lakh (0.52 million) COVID-19 cases, about more than 3 lakh (0.3 million) recoveries and more than 16 thousand deaths.
Thereafter,concerning the worldwide cases of COVID-19 – United Kingdom, Spain, Peru, Chile, Italy & Iran are at fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth worst COVID-19 affected countries.
In case of India both number of new reported cases of COVID-19 disease and the number of people recovering daily have increased over time. And as per the data analysis of data available at website worldometers.info & Covid19India.org, by the last week of June 2020 the daily new cases count is coming somewhere in the range of 14 thousand to 19 thousand. Whereas, the recovery rate in also in the range of 50 % to 70% when compared to the new daily reported cases.
In India, the three worst affected states are Maharashtra, Delhi & Tamil Nadu which have reported around 60% of the total number of cases reported in India so far. As far as recovery is considered these three states account for about 57% of the total recovered people in India. Thus, the recovery rate too is improving in these three states. As far as the total count of death is considered these three states account for over 60% of the total deaths in India due to COVID-19.
As per the latest data available on Covid19India.org, as on 27th of June total cases in India stands at 5,29,557; recoveries 3,10,146; active cases 2,03,272 and death 16,103.
Regarding the states – Maharashtra has reported total 1,59,133 cases; recoveries 84,245; active cases 67,600 and deaths 7,273.
Delhi has reported total 80,188 cases; recoveries 49,301; active cases 28,329 and death 2,558.
Tamil Nadu has reported total 78,335 cases; recoveries 44,094; active cases 33,216 and death 1,025.
Besides this Gujarat, Uttara Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, Unassigned, Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Odisha, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Tripura, Goa, Manipur, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Puducherry, Chandigarh, Nagaland, Dadar & Nagar Haveil and Daman Diu, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Island & Meghalaya are respectively worst to less affected states/ union territories.
Presently, nations across the globe are working to find a vaccine or a cure of COVID-19 virus. So far no drug has been approved by the World body a potential treatment or cure of the disease/ virus.
